We’re delighted to present this residential alterations project nestled on the Western Hill of North Curl Curl. Tasked with transforming a series of low, damp, cold, and dark unrenovated rooms into a light-filled, inviting family haven, our clients’ brief inspired us to craft a space that seamlessly blends indoor comfort with outdoor serenity.

To breathe new life into the interior, we embarked on a comprehensive renovation journey. Excavating the natural rock formations within the basement space allowed us to lower the overall floor area, laying the foundation for a sleek and modern polished concrete slab. Reinventing the external walls and implementing a strategic drainage ditch around the perimeter ensured optimal moisture management and structural integrity. Expansive catch sliders were installed along the northern elevation, flooding the interiors with natural light and forging a seamless connection to the outdoors. A stunning new timber deck, complemented by a retaining wall and inviting daybed, beckons residents to unwind and soak up the sun-drenched vistas.

The result is a home that exudes a natural open flow, inviting occupants to navigate effortlessly from the front kitchen through to the spacious family room. This thoughtful redesign not only maximises the usable space but also enhances sun penetration and thermal efficiency, ensuring year-round comfort for the entire family.
