Fairlight House 02 Fairlight, Sydney

Description

Renovations were undertaken on a detached weatherboard structure, with a focus on enhancing functionality and improving connectivity with the outdoor space.

The primary goal of the project was to create a seamless flow between the rear ground floor and the picturesque garden. Previously, the kitchen and living area were hindered by a laundry, obstructing the view. The brief called for opening up this area to maximise the enjoyment of the beautiful surroundings.

In response to the client’s desires, MM+J Architects devised a design that not only addressed these concerns but also incorporated additional features. A new ensuite was added to the main bedroom on the first floor, providing a touch of luxury and convenience.

Furthermore, to enhance the property’s practicality and curb appeal, on-site parking was introduced, ensuring residents have convenient access to their vehicles. Additionally, a charming timber picket front fence was erected, adding character and privacy to the exterior while maintaining a welcoming aesthetic.

Through thoughtful design and meticulous planning, M+M Architects successfully fulfilled the client’s expectations, transforming the detached weatherboard structure into a more functional, aesthetically pleasing, and inviting home for its occupants.
